Today I discuss planning that begins in mid-October and being prepared when natural disasters strike.
It’s already mid-October which means if you filed an extension Monday the 16th is the final day to file your tax return. Now is the time to get serious about planning for 2017 if you are self employed. Your options may be limited for this year, but good there are still good retirement plans you can begin funding. Another thing that happens in October is open enrollment for Medicare; retirees should rethink their coverage.
