Since October is breast cancer awareness month Kym chats with Othman Laraki, who with his partner Elad Gil, want to make genetic testing more accessible and affordable to everyone. His kit which involves a quick saliva test takes testing costs from $4000 to $250 dollars, just 1/16th the price. Othman explains how combining computer science with biology has contributed to the drop in price and he also discusses how they're marketing this idea to physicians and insurance companies. Kym asks him about testing children when a parent is a known carrier and plans for future types of testing. Kym also asks Othman about his past at Twitter and secrets for helping companies grow as quickly and strongly as Twitter did while he was there.
