Kym discusses medical breakthroughs with excimer laser and DABRA creator, Dean Irwin

Joining Kym this week is Ra Medical Co-Founder and CEO, Dean Irwin, who is harnessing the power of the sun to create medical breakthroughs. At the top of the show Dean tells Kym about how he created the excimer laser with the initial purpose of clearing arterial blockages, but eventually tailored it to be used for Lasik surgeries and dermatology. Kym then asks Dean to explain Ra Medicals’ newest medical breakthrough, the DABRA system, which was recently approved for testing to remove arterial blockages from patients. Dean also explains several ways the DABRA system flat out beats the mechanical systems currently in use and how he is getting DABRA into the hands of doctors today.
